Bellingham Conservation Commission Approves Shed Permit on Bridal Path Circle
BELLINGHAM — April 9, 2026 — Bellingham Conservation Commission approves amended wetland order for Bridal Path Circle shed, reviews enforcement at 31 Springdale Road. The commission voted unanimously April 9 to approve an amended order of conditions for homeowner Cara Feyman, reducing a 2023 permit that had covered a garage expansion and site work down to a single shed, cutting the disturbed work area from 2,919 square feet to 1,200 square feet within the outer 150-foot riparian buffer of a perennial stream. Consultant Dave Markowitz confirmed that a collapsed septic line had been repaired and that town engineer John Sullivan had inspected the site. On the 31 Springdale Road enforcement matter, property owner Will Mitchell updated the commission on re-secured erosion controls and a new wetland professional taking over restoration planning, floating a proposal to shift a culverted intermittent stream to straddle a property line — a move he said would "unlock" financing for a more comprehensive solution. The commission also approved three sets of draft minutes prepared under a public records request tied to a DPW fuel island project heading to town meeting.
